Unspeakable was premiered in April 7,2007. Beijing Haidian Theatre.
A world that can be explained even with bad reasons is a familiar world. But, on the other hand, in a universe suddenly divested of illusions and lights, man suddenly feels like an alien, a stranger. His exile is without remedy since he is deprived of the memory of a lost home or the hope of a promised land. This divorce between man and his life is properly the feeling of absurdity. - Albert Camus
The ethnic Tibetan, Chinese modern dance artist Sang Jijia was internationally acclaimed as "the most perfect dancer". Sang was the first Asian artist ever selected for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative Program. He studied choreography with William Forsythe until 2006. On his return, Sang created Unspeakable, in which, he combines brilliant technicality and pedestrian movements to evoke extreme psychological tension and asymmetry.
“Audience felt the variety of unspeakable conflicts and anxieties in modern society, through dancers’ terrified eyes, perplexed movement and interlaced role relation.”———People’s Daily Overs
