Choreographer Introduction

Executive Artistic Director of BeijingDance/LDTX.  MA was born in Mizhi, Shaanxi province of China.  

She is among one of most passionate female choreographers in China.  From 1987 to 1991, MA enrolled 

in the Beijing Dance Academy and stayed on as a teacher after graduation.  She joined Guangdong Modern 

Dance Company in 1993, and with Beijing Modern Dance Company in 1999.  In 2005, MA became a founding

member of BeijingDance/LDTX.  MA collaborates with her husband LI Han-zhong in numerous classic creative 

projects such as: Red Rhapsody, Cold Arrow-Game of Go (Weiqi), Faded Monologue, Sorrowful Songs, Between Line, Speeding.
