China Dance Stations ( CDS )

Initiated by Mr. Willy TSAO in 2017, China Dance Stations is an alliance that connects modern dance organizations that are thriving in cities of China. Since its establishment, the alliance has linked up 85 independent dance organizations from 59 cities of China.

With a common aspiration towards the prosperity of modern dance in China, the members of China Dance Stations are active in various areas of the art of modern dance and have constantly contribute to the effective sharing of information, consolidating resources and creating better synergy for exchange and collaboration. On the other hand, China Dance Stations provides links for international counterparts to map out an overview of the vast geography of modern dance in China.

In 2021, CDS has launched the “CDS Observers Scheme”. Professionals in the field of modern dance from around the world will be invited to join the Scheme to observe the development of the art of modern dance in China. This brand-new platform is expected to complement the primary networks of CDS and to diversify the ways of industry communication and cooperation.
