Rushes and More - From this surreal, tragic-comedy emerges a triumph of elegant minimalism

Date:      May 14 & 16,  19:30
Venue:     MF Theatre - NCPA
Choreographers: Inbal Pinto & Avshalom Pollak

Six eccentric and charming characters are adrift in a parallel cosmos constructed of the various constellations of their unrealized dreams.

From this surreal, tragic-comedy - a collaboration of Inbal Pinto, Avshalom Pollak and Robby Barnett (founder & choreographer of American-based "Pilobolus Dance Theater") - emerges a triumph of elegant minimalism. Rushes employs objects as quotidian as simple chairs to masterfully convey an enchanting wit which will leave you moved and delighted.

The second portion of the evening consists of selected pieces

Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak don't just make dances, they create fantastical worlds. The Tel-Aviv based choreographer/directors have a knack for crafting out-of-the-ordinary theatrical experiences that can transport willing viewers to places of surreal beauty, uncommon oddity and shadowy depths. ”     Washington Jewish week
