Zuo Yan is a founding member of LDTX. Born in Beijing, she studied at the High School of the Central University of Nationalities, dance department. She joined the Guangdong Modern Dance Company in 1992 and then danced with the Beijing Modern Dance Company from 2002-2005. During her time with BMDC, she went to the Tokyo Four Seasons Song and Dance Company in Japan for a year. In 2005, she became a founding member of LDTX and has choreographed "Color of the World", "The Dance in the Wind", "Experimental Object" and others.
